Description
Introduction to Nuclear Emergency Management course enhances preparedness for anyone involved in responding to nuclear emergencies. This foundational training provides a comprehensive overview of the Provincial Nuclear Emergency Response Plan (PNERP) and operational roles within the Provincial Emergency Operations Centre (PEOC). It covers the potential radiation hazards in Ontario and protective actions including emergency planning zones and accident phases. Upon completion, participants will understand: the roles of partners involved in a nuclear response, notification and activation processes, the PEOC's structure and function including its application of the Incident Management System (IMS), the roles of the Scientific Section, and key components of the Fermi 2 implementing plan including US notification and protective actions.
How to Save Your Course Progress:
